Process for Colours<\/span><\/span> Applications<\/h2>\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t

This is the process of how to apply for District or Provincial Colours.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Please take note that it is not an easy process. Strict rules apply and it might be time-consuming. Each Province works in different ways but this is a BASIC guideline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take note the Line Function:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Athletes participating in events need to be affiliated to their different Provincial Sport Federations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    The Provincial Sport Federation needs to be affiliated with their Provincial Sports Confederations as well as their National Federation that means the Sport Federation needs to be in good standing with both the Sport Confederation and their National structure. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Sport Confederations are members of SASCOC (South African Sport Council and Olympic Committee<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    **If ANY of these line functions are broken the awarding of colours MIGHT not be possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

    What do you need to do?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \n

      Keep all records!!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      There has to be evidence of how the athletes qualified through a process of difficulty to get to Districts and\/or Provincial or International Tournaments.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      The National Federation\/Association needs to submit a letter of approval of acknowledgement about the different competitions including the up-and-coming different National tournaments.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Compile the list of athletes who qualified for districts or provincial tournaments. <\/span>(See excel sample below).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      Submit all documentation to your Provincial Federation as they have to submit documentation <\/span>30 days<\/span> prior to the date of Provincial Tournament. <\/span>(14 days before for District Tournaments)<\/span> ** Subjected to change at any time.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    6. \n

      FOLLOW UP, FOLLOW UP, AND FOLLOW UP CONSTANTLY!! <\/span>(REMEMBER THEY ALSO HAVE FULL TIME JOBS AND ARE EXTREMELY BUSY)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    7. \n

      Wait for approval Letter from different Sport Confederations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    8. \n

      After the letter from Sport Confederation is received, the process of approved provincial clothing can be made at supplied provincial clothing manufacturers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    9. \n

      That letter from the Sport Confederation with the different name list or total provincial kits required has to be send to the clothing manufacturer provided.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Student Documentation needed for District\/Provincial Tournaments: <\/span>(this might vary from different sporting codes and also should they need it)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

        Certified copy of SA ID\/Birth Certificate or Passport Document.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        2 ID Photo\u2019s attached on their entry form (if needed)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Entry Form\/ Program of District Tournament <\/span>AND\/OR <\/span>Provincial Tournament<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Code of Conduct<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Liability Weaver<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Student\u2019s Parents Medical Information (with a copy of medical card) & any allergies of student.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Indemnity Form filled in by Parents (Should they travel with school or other transport)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
